bell24hrLike the nightlife?  Like to boogie?

The Garmin 24hr is the ultimate test of mountain biking endurance.....or a great excuse to go camping with your mates and ride all weekend!!

It’s all about the singletrack.
It’s all about having fun with your mates.
For the solo mountain biker, it is the ultimate mental and physical test.

The Garmin 24hr is an off road endurance mountain bike race for solo entrants, or relay teams of either 2,3,4 or 6.  If you own a mountain bike then this event is for you - riders of all ability levels will enjoy this event.

Does anyone win? Its pretty simple really, its a race in which the competitor/s with the most laps after 24 hrs of riding wins.

Entry Information

You can choose to race as a Solo rider, or create a team of up to 6 people, depending on the level of endurance you wish to compete at.  Each participant is required to complete only one lap, however, the teams objective is to complete as many laps as possible within the 24-hour time frame.

Categories

Solo Female & Solo Male
One person that rides as much as he/she wants during the 24 hour period. There are a limited number of solo spots available so register early to avoid disappointment. There will be also be a Male Singlespeed and 40+ Solo Male category.

2 Person
Two riders (Either all Male, All Female or mixed) of any skill level can enter. We recommend that only strong riders enter the 2 Person category. Each rider can expect to ride 10-14 hours each.

3 Person Open
Three people of any skill level can enter. Each rider can expect approximately 8 hours of riding. There are no sub-categories within the threesomes.

4 Person
Four people (Either all male, all female or mixed - being at least one from the opposite sex) of any skill level can enter. Each rider can expect 6 hours of riding.

Six People (Either all male, all female or mixed). There must be at least one person from the opposite sex to qualify for a mixed team. Each rider can expect 4-5 hours of riding.
This is where its at, most professional teams race the Kona24hr as teams of 6.

School Sixes

Note: An important element to team dynamics and enjoying the event is to join or start a team with people who have the same objective in mind. Someone who wants to win on the same team with someone who is there for the social aspect can lead to conflict. Only you can determine team dynamics.

Minimum Age for (4 person) Team Riders is 17.
