A community fundraiser for people in need

Start & finish at Karuah Oval Turramurra, through scenic Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and Bobbin Head
Sunday 25th March 2012

 Rides to suit all levels of cyclist:

    100 km - 7.00 am start. Rise to the challenge of a ride from Turramurra to Calga and back via beautiful Bobbin Head.  
    50 km -  8.30 am start. Through Bobbin Head to Berowra and return.
    15 km - 10.00 am start. Bobbin Head Rd to toll booth entrance to Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. Return for lunch with family and friends. Riders under age 16 require adult supervision.

Fun Day

This will also be a fun day for the family, with food and drink stalls, music and cycle exhibitions at the finish. After your ride you can enjoy a leisurely lunch with the kids

The Causes

The Rotary Clubs of Ku-ring-gai and Turramurra are jointly conducting the Bobbin Head Cycle Classic to raise funds for the following causes:

Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury

For a number of years our rotary clubs have assisted the Lifeline Gordon office with painting and other working bees, supply of office furniture, funding for staff training, etc. More funds are desperately needed.

Bo Hospital

Bo, a city of 500,000, is in the centre of the rural southern provinces of Sierra Leone. The under 5 mortality rate is 194 per 1,000 children – the seventh highest in the world. Australia is 6 per 1000. The main killers are Malaria, Diarrheal disaeses, Respiratory disease, Malnutrition. Life expectancy is 48 years, Australia is 80 years.
