The Ride for Home is an incredible opportunity to ride on EastLink whilst raising funds to help Hanover break the cycle of homelessness.
This unique traffic free experience allows both serious and recreational cyclists to ride on one of Melbournes smoothest and safest motorways, including trips through the 1.6km Melba and Mullum Mullum tunnels. All rides start and finish on the Ringwood Bypass.
Please note that your entry fee covers the extensive operational costs to stage this large scale event and close 75km of motorway plus interchanges. All fundraising proceeds will be directed straight to Hanover to support Victorias homeless.
With three separate distances, there is a ride to cater for any ability.
For the more serious and skilled rider, the 75km course offers three exciting options for those looking for a unique and professionally managed cycling experience.
For the 75km personal challenge you will have an opportunity to ride with 2011 Tour de France star and event ambassador Simon Gerrans!
The 75km Challenge Ride events feature:
The Recreational Ride is for cyclists of all abilities who can ride 35km. A fantastic day out with like-minded cycling, fitness and outdoor enthusiasts. A great course for a great cause!
Get your friends, family and workmates together and form a social team to participate in this unique event.
New for 2011, the 15km Fun Ride is your chance to be part of this great event, even if youre not a regular cyclist.
A fantastic outdoor activity for the whole family! For each 15km adult entry received, one child will be able to register and ride for free.
